The Challenge: A Hidden Perspective

My illustration work focuses on the challenging technique of negative art. I begin with traditional black charcoal on white paper to create photorealistic portraits, which are then digitally inverted to produce a striking and unconventional aesthetic.

This process, however, creates a core user experience problem: How can a viewer easily appreciate the original, positive form of the artwork? I wanted to move beyond static "before and after" images and create a memorable, interactive moment of discovery for the audience.

When a user points their phone at one of my negative drawings, the lens instantly reveals the original charcoal artwork. Snapchat will redirect the user to the Inverted filter, once the snapcode is scanned from snapchat camera This simple interaction transforms the viewing process from passive observation into an active, engaging, and almost magical experience.
